2. Finding jobs in Pakistan

This is how to find jobs in Pakistan.

We got married in May 2011, and since then I had been working for a company based in Dubai. But because of my company’s new office, I was transferred to Pakistan. I had never lived abroad before, so I didn’t know what to expect.

After arriving in Lahore, my husband and I rented a one-bedroom apartment in the city center. That’s when I started looking for jobs in Pakistan.

My husband’s company sent him to Pakistan a month before me. We decided to live separately for one month, but then come back together in a month.

The first job I applied for was at an e-commerce company. They were hiring for various positions, but I got hired for a job in customer service.

In August, we both applied for jobs at an IT firm, and I got hired for an entry-level position.

The main reason why I want to talk about this is that the skills which are valuable are different than the ones which are in high demand.

In fact, even though I was born in Pakistan, the country I live in now, I have no job in my home country. So the best way to have a job in Pakistan is to move to the US, study, and get an MSc.
